1. The fingerprint scanner indicator light is not on:

Solution: A. Check if the terminal is powered on

C、 Replace other normal fingerprint scanners with this terminal for testing. If it is normal, then the fingerprint scanner has malfunctioned. Please replace the fingerprint scanner

2. The fingerprint scanner has no response, that is, when it is necessary to press the fingerprint, the indicator light of the fingerprint scanner does not reflect or keeps on the red light

Solution: A. Power on again and check if the fingerprint scanner is working properly (after power on, the blue light will flash briefly)

B、 Please check if there are any residual fingerprints on the surface of the fingerprint scanner. If there are residual fingerprints, they should be cleaned in a timely manner

C、 Please replace it with another normal fingerprint scanner for testing to determine if it is a problem with the fingerprint scanner itself

B、 Fingers should be clean

Because fingerprint collection is achieved by directly contacting the fingerprint module with the finger, if there are foreign objects on the finger, it will affect the reliability of the collected fingerprint information. Therefore, please ensure that the finger is clean before collecting fingerprints. If your fingers are wet or sweaty, please wipe them with paper or a dry towel before collecting your fingerprints. If your fingers are very dry and you feel that fingerprint collection is difficult, you can air them with your mouth to increase humidity, or dip them in a small amount of water and dry them before collecting.

C、 Keep the surface of the fingerprint module clean

Similarly, if foreign objects accumulate on the surface area of the fingerprint module, it will also affect the collection of fingerprints. It is still difficult to collect fingerprints when the user's fingers are clean. You can check if there are any foreign objects on the surface of the module. You can use a soft tissue or towel to gently wipe its surface before collecting fingerprints.

D、 Choose fingers with better fingerprints

Because the attendance machine determines the user's identity based on their fingerprint, please choose a finger with a better fingerprint to improve reliability. Please do not use fingers with peeling, scars, broken fingerprints, wear and tear.

E、 Apply appropriate finger pressure

If the pressure is too light when pressing the finger, it will cause the contact surface between the finger and the fingerprint collection head to be too small, resulting in insufficient fingerprint information being collected. So users should apply some force when pressing their fingers, but not too much, otherwise it will cause fingerprint deformation, ridge adhesion, and distortion of the collected fingerprint information.
