For example, a short circuit in an internal component causing excessive current can melt the fuse.  - Solution: Locate the fuse box, inspect the fuse for damage, and replace it with a fuse of the same rating. However, address the root cause of the fuse failure before replacement.  **Thermostat Issues:**  - The thermostat is a key component for controlling the refrigerator's temperature. If malfunctioning, it may prevent the refrigerator from starting or properly regulating temperature. For instance, a damaged temperature probe or internal circuit issues in the thermostat can lead to inaccurate temperature sensing or failure to send the correct startup signal to the compressor.  - Solution: Use a multimeter to test the thermostat's continuity and determine if it is damaged. Replace it with a new thermostat if necessary. Compressor Starting Circuit Issue: The compressor's operation relies on a specific circuit. If components such as relays or capacitors in the starting circuit malfunction, the compressor may fail to start. For example, relay contacts sticking or being damaged, reduced capacitance or capacitor failure, all can interfere with compressor startup. This requires professional technicians to test and repair using specialized tools, replacing the faulty components.  Electronic Component Issue: Other electronic components in the refrigerator, such as chips, resistors, and capacitors on the circuit board, can also cause the refrigerator to fail to start if they malfunction. The damage to these components may result from aging, overheating, or static electricity.
